Our agreement

"We agree to love, support, serve, and honor one another as brothers and friends in Christ. We agree to conduct our relationships in the fruit of the Holy Spirit and according to the measure of God's word: eager to build one another up in the Lord; quick to forgive and to ask for forgiveness, to exhort and admonish one another; respectful, up building, encouraging, and always loyal in our speech..."

About us

The oldest men's household at FUS.

As the oldest male household in existence at FUS today, IHI has undergone many changes and transitions as different generations of household members have come and gone. But it has remained true to its covenant and traditions.

As men of God under the guidance of our patron, Saint Joseph, we all strive to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the covenant to which we have pledged.

The longest-running and most elusive tradition would be the ritual of the Eager Beaver. If you're interested in learning more, see our Beav page. But if you're looking for more information on the origin and meaning of the EB, you're out of luck because every member has been sworn to secrecy...

What we stand on

Formed in His image and likeness.

Our Covenant

The Covenant of In His Image Household

We, the brothers of In His Image household, desire to be more fully formed in the image and likeness of God. Recognizing our call, as individuals and as a body, to live out this goal, we commit ourselves to Christ and to one another in the Holy Spirit to be men truly formed In His Image.

Being filled with a holy zeal, we seek to grow in Christian maturity through a common life of worship, study, service, and recreation. From this desire flows the spirit and structure of In His Image.

Memorare of St. Joseph, Our Patron

Remember, O most pure Spouse of the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph my beloved patron, that never has it been heard that anyone invoked thy patronage and sought thine aid without being comforted. Inspired by this confidence, I come to thee and fervently commend myself to thee. Ah, despise not my petition, dear Foster Father of our Redeemer, but accept it graciously. Amen.

The IHI newsletter

Help us rebuild the household's history.

Nearly fifty years of brothers have passed through In His Image, and parts of that story have gone missing: rosters, roles, even a few Beavs. Join the private household newsletter and help us put it back together.

  • The first issue asks for your class year, household roles, and memories
  • Household updates each semester, plus devotionals and calls to prayer
  • Private: only subscribers can read it, and every brother is approved by hand
