Household Agreement

We the brothers of In His Image household, desire to be more fully formed in the image and likeness of God. It is our deepest desire, intention and lifelong goal to continually take off the old self and put on Jesus Christ. Recognizing our call—as individuals and as a body—to live out this goal, we commit ourselves to Christ and to one another in the Holy Spirit to be men truly formed “In His Image”; entering ever more fully into His light as we grow in personal and spiritual maturity.

Being filled with a holy zeal, we pursue this goal of Christian maturity through a common life of worship, study, service, and recreation. Therefore, each member of In His Image supports the following agreement with all his heart, mind, soul, and strength.

We agree

We agree to love, support, serve, and honor one another as brothers and friends in Christ. We agree to conduct our relationships in the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:16–26) and according to the measure of God’s word: eager to build one another up in the Lord; quick to forgive and to ask for forgiveness, to exhort and admonish one another; respectful, up building, encouraging, and always loyal in our speech.

We agree to set aside a significant amount of time each day for personal prayer and for reading of scripture. We agree to place our gifts—personal and spiritual—at the service of God and one another.

We recognize the importance of being present at all household meetings and agree not to be absent or late without prior approval of the coordinator or his assistant. We agree to attend and participate in all household activities realizing these are ways of building the brotherhood among us.

We agree to recognize and constructively respond to the authority of the advisor, coordinator and assistants, to encourage and support them in prayer, word and action. We agree, in a spirit of truth and love, to hold ourselves accountable to all these agreements.

We, the undersigned, recognize the value of this household agreement as a means of attaining our goal of mature manhood in Christ, and accept the order it establishes for our life individually and in common.
